A rose rug with a modern geometric design: a central panel holds a stepped, many-sided medallion banded with zigzags, and around it a frame of rounded diamond motifs fills the field. A border of bold crosses and a narrow band of small diamonds at each end complete the design.

Material: Wool and silk pile, hand-knotted in Pakistan. The wool gives strength and body, and the silk adds a soft sheen to the pile.

Silk is more delicate than wool and can show pressure marks and changes of light more readily, and the pile looks lighter or darker depending on the direction it is brushed.

This design takes traditional geometric shapes and arranges them in a fresh, graphic way. At the centre sits a framed panel holding a stepped, many-sided medallion, its interior crossed by bold zigzag bands and dotted lines, with a small cross-shaped motif at its heart. Around the panel, a ring of rounded diamond motifs, each filled with small stars, squares and hooks, runs all the way around the field. A wide border of bold crosses alternating with small stepped shapes frames everything, and narrow bands of little diamonds finish the ends. The pattern is busy but carefully balanced, so it reads as a neat, lively composition. The silk in the pile gives the colours a gentle sheen. It suits an entrance or a bedside that wants a touch of colour and texture.

Returns
For a change of mind, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition and in original packaging. Return shipping is paid by the customer and can be expensive from outside Japan, so please ask us about size or colour before you order. If your rug arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, contact us with photos within 30 days of delivery: we pay for the return and send a replacement or a full refund.
