A hooked lozenge medallion sits at the centre of this Ruby Red rug, its double latch-hook outline enclosing small stars and stylised animals, with a stepped cartouche at each end of the field and an octagonal sunburst gül in each quarter. Sprigs of stylised plants and small stars fill the open ground, and a wide border of large round rosettes with leafy sprigs frames the whole, closed by a band of flower-heads at each end.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan in wool, with a soft, plush pile that has a gentle sheen. An Extra Small rug at 78×131cm, it suits an entryway or a bedside.

Material: 100 percent wool pile, hand-knotted in Afghanistan. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the pile is made for everyday use, including busy spots like an entrance.

A deep, saturated ground like this hides everyday marks well, but strong colours can fade unevenly in direct sunlight, and the pile looks lighter or darker depending on the direction it is brushed.

One hooked lozenge medallion anchors the centre of the field. Its outline is a double row of latch-hooks, and inside it small stars, rosettes and stylised animals are scattered around a central flower. Above and below it sit two stepped cartouche medallions, and an octagonal sunburst gül occupies each quarter of the field, with small stars, flowering sprigs and comb-like motifs filling the open ground in between. The main border carries a row of large round rosettes linked by leafy sprigs, with a narrow vine guard inside it and a band of flower-heads across each end of the rug. The motifs are drawn in lighter, warmer tones against the deep ground, so the design reads boldly from across the room and stays lively up close. It suits an entrance or a bedside.

Orders are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days, then take 7 to 15 business days in transit. Every order ships with tracking. Returns
For a change of mind, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition and in original packaging. Return shipping is paid by the customer and can be expensive from outside Japan, so please ask us about size or colour before you order. If your rug arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, contact us with photos within 30 days of delivery: we pay for the return and send a replacement or a full refund.
