A single column of nine octagonal güls runs down the centre of this Slate Grey rug, each quartered and outlined in deep tones with lighter details, and linked by a fine line along the field's axis. Small stylised flower motifs stand along both sides of the field, and the whole is framed by a main border of diamond güls, narrow guard stripes and wide end panels filled with a fine diamond lattice.

Hand-knotted in Pakistan in wool, with a short, dense pile that gives the güls a crisp edge. An Extra Small rug at 79×120cm, it suits an entryway or a bedside.

Material: 100 percent wool pile, hand-knotted in Pakistan. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the pile is made for everyday use, including busy spots like an entrance.

A mid-tone, open ground like this shows the direction of the pile, looking lighter or darker depending on which way it is brushed, and fine dust can show on it sooner than on a busy pattern, so regular light vacuuming keeps it looking fresh.

The field is a classic single-column Bokhara layout. Nine octagonal güls run down the centre, each quartered by a fine cross and filled with small hooked and stepped motifs, and a thin line joins them along the axis of the rug. Along both sides of the field stand rows of small stylised flowers on stems, which keep the open ground from feeling empty without competing with the güls. The main border carries a row of diamond-shaped güls with lighter centres, flanked by several narrow guard stripes of tiny repeated motifs, and the wide panels at each end are filled with a fine diamond lattice. From across the room the rug reads as a calm, even column of medallions on a quiet ground; up close the fine knotting shows in the small details. It suits an entrance or a bedside.
