Two stepped diamond medallions sit one above the other on the field of this Deep Wine rug, each drawn with a lighter stepped outline around a small central gül and surrounded by scattered small güls and stars. Quarter-medallions fill the corners of the field, and a meandering leaf-and-flower vine runs round the main border, with a wide outer band of cross-shaped güls and narrow guard stripes framing it.

Hand-knotted in Pakistan in wool, with a short, dense pile that gives the stepped outlines a crisp edge. An Extra Small rug at 79×114cm, it suits an entryway or a bedside.

Material: 100 percent wool pile, hand-knotted in Pakistan. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the pile is made for everyday use, including busy spots like an entrance.

A deep ground like this hides everyday marks well, but strong colours can fade unevenly in direct sunlight, and the pile looks lighter or darker depending on the direction it is brushed.

The field is built around two large stepped diamond medallions set one above the other on the centre line. Each has a serrated, stair-stepped outline in a lighter tone, a smaller diamond inside it and a small gül at its heart, and the two touch at the middle of the rug so they read as a single column. The open ground around them carries small scattered güls, stars and hooked motifs, and quarter-medallions with their own stepped edges fill the four corners of the field. A leaf-and-flower vine meanders round the main border, flanked by narrow guard stripes, and a wide outer band of cross-shaped güls closes each end. From across the room the two diamonds give the rug a clear, symmetrical shape; up close the small fillers reward a longer look. It suits an entrance or a bedside.

Returns
For a change of mind, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition and in original packaging. Return shipping is paid by the customer and can be expensive from outside Japan, so please ask us about size or colour before you order. If your rug arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, contact us with photos within 30 days of delivery: we pay for the return and send a replacement or a full refund.
