Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A red Bokhara rug with an all-over field of Turkmen güls in neat rows: five columns of rounded octagonal güls, each quartered by a cross with small hooked figures in each quarter, alternate with smaller cross-shaped minor güls between them. The güls stand free on the open ground, giving the field a calm, even rhythm across its full length. A wide main border of linked octagon panels, many narrow guard stripes and end bands of zigzag lattice frame the design, with fringe at both ends.

Hand-knotted in Pakistan in wool, with a soft, lustrous pile. At 281×371cm (about 8 tatami) this is a large rug, well suited to a living room, a dining room or a bedroom.

Material: 100 percent wool pile, hand-knotted in Pakistan. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the pile is made for everyday use in a busy living or dining room.

A deep, rich ground like this hides everyday marks well, but strong colours can fade unevenly in direct sunlight, and the pile looks lighter or darker depending on the direction it is brushed.

Bokhara is the name the trade gives to rugs drawn in the Turkmen gül tradition, and in Pakistan the style has been woven for generations. On this large piece the güls fill the field in neat rows: five columns of rounded octagonal major güls, each quartered by a cross with small hooked figures in every quarter, alternate with smaller cross-shaped minor güls set between them. Unlike a Jaldar, there is no lattice here; the güls stand free on the open ground, and the long, steady repetition gives the rug a calm rhythm that reads well from any side of the room. A wide main border of linked octagon panels, many narrow guard stripes and end bands of zigzag lattice frame the whole, and the pile is finished with fringe at both ends. The classic red ground gives the room warmth and depth. A rug of this size anchors a living room, sits generously under a dining table or fills the floor of a bedroom.
