A soft salmon field carrying a single column of stepped diamond güls in mauve, sage, cream and rust, each holding a small eight-pointed star at its centre. The diamonds are linked point to point down the length, with pale hooked devices filling the triangles left at the field edges. Wide multi-band borders of octagonal güls, rosettes and small hooked repeats frame the field, and both ends close with a broad panel of scrolled forms. Cream fringe at both ends.
Hand-knotted in wool with silk. The palette is unusually narrow: measured across the whole rug, ninety per cent of the surface falls within a single orange-gold range, and the drawing is separated from the ground by depth rather than by any change of colour. At 61×185cm this is a narrow runner, suited to a small hallway or a galley kitchen.
