A saffron orange field carrying an all-over repeat of small flowering shrubs in celadon, pale teal, cream, lime and crimson — each a low tufted plant with a slender flowering stem rising from its centre — set in staggered rows so no two line up across the width. Wide borders of hooked diamonds and scrolled devices in teal, green, crimson and cream frame the field, and both ends close with a broad panel of the same drawing at larger scale. Cream fringe at both ends.
Hand-knotted in wool. The palette is genuinely polychrome — six distinct colour families across the surface, with the saffron ground accounting for under half of it. At 82×234cm this is a runner, suited to a hallway or a landing. A strong saffron ground is reasonably forgiving of everyday marks.
