Rug material

Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A warm honey-gold field gives this rug its mellow, antique glow, scattered with an all-over arrangement of lobed medallions and diamond cartouches linked by delicate floral tracery. Worked in muted sage-green, dusty rose, taupe and cream with small touches of red, the design unfolds as a gentle garden of repeating motifs rather than a single grand centre, so the whole rug feels soft, calm and quietly luxurious.

A sage-green main border wraps the field in a procession of flowering palmettes and vines in cream, rose, red and gold, its cool tone balancing the warm gold within. Ivory guard stripes and a gold outer edge complete the frame. The faded, harmonious palette gives the piece the feel of a treasured antique, easy to live with and quietly elegant in any room.

Hand-knotted in Pakistan with the fine Persian double knot, the rug is woven in pure wool on a cotton foundation — the pile dense and even, the detail finely drawn, finished with a hand-tied ivory fringe. The soft gold-and-sage colouring suits a living room, bedroom or study and sits comfortably with both traditional and modern interiors. As a hand-knotted original, it is genuinely one of a kind. Woven with the persian double knot.

An all-over medallion design repeats lobed medallions and cartouches across the whole field rather than centring on a single one. Related to the classical garden carpets of Persia, the layout evokes a walled garden divided into beds and pools, each compartment blooming with its own flowers — a vision of paradise made endless by repetition.

Rendered in a soft, faded palette of honey-gold, sage and rose, the design takes on the gentle character of an antique, where time seems to have mellowed every colour into harmony. Rewoven by hand in Pakistan in pure wool, the rug's small irregularities of line and colour are the signature of the weaver's hand, not flaws — the mark of a true one-of-a-kind piece.
