Persian Nain

Hand-knotted Nain rugs from central Persia. Nain is known for very fine knotting and for its signature ivory-and-blue palette, though this collection also holds emerald, pistachio, coral, saffron and teal pieces that are less commonly seen. Designs include central medallions, all-over arabesque fields, the Gonbad dome, Shesh La construction and, on one rug, a woven bird border. Sizes run from 109×171cm up to 208×313cm, plus extra-long corridor runners past 400cm. Each rug is one of a kind.
