Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A deep wine field covered edge to edge in the Mina Khani pattern — two alternating blossom types, one pale-centred and one dark, linked by a fine lattice with small paired devices filling the spaces between. The drawing sits only a step darker than its ground and is lit by sparse flecks of pale rose. The frame is the larger part of the rug: fifteen concentric bands on each side, alternating broad panels of hooked and latch-hook devices with pairs of narrow guard stripes, in wine, oxblood and near-black. Grey-ivory fringe.

Hand-knotted in hand-spun wool. The borders take 59.8% of the surface against 40.2% for the field. The colour is exceptionally deep throughout — the field ground alone measures 0.75 on the nought-to-one saturation scale. At 201×288cm this is a large room rug, suited to a living or dining room.

100% hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills. Finished with a grey-ivory fringe at both ends.

As practical as a rug gets. Under a quarter of one per cent of the surface is pale enough to count as neutral, and the field's pattern is drawn in a red only eighteen points of brightness away from its ground, so there is essentially nothing on this rug for a mark to spoil. The sparse pale flecks scattered through the field — about half a per cent of it — are the one vulnerable colour, and they are what gives the field its sparkle at close range.

The border on this rug is not a frame so much as the greater part of the design — it takes 59.8% of the surface against the field's 40.2%. Measured band by band across one side, it resolves into fifteen separate stripes, and their widths are not arbitrary. Reading outward from the field they run 1.8, 4.3, 1.5, 1.5, 4.8, 1.3, 1.3, then 8.0, then 1.3, 1.3, 6.0, 1.5, 1.5, 5.0, 2.8.

That sequence is a palindrome. The widest band sits exactly in the middle, eighth of fifteen, and the bands on either side mirror each other: the four pairs of narrow guard stripes match to the millimetre — 1.3 against 1.3, twice, and 1.5 against 1.5, twice — while the broad panels pair off at 4.8 with 6.0 and 4.3 with 5.0. So the frame has its own centre, and it is built outward from that centre in both directions rather than simply stacked from the field to the edge. It is why a border this deep does not overwhelm the rug: the eye finds a structure in it and reads it as an object in its own right, with the fine all-over field sitting inside like a panel rather than being crowded by it.
