Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A deep burgundy field carrying the Khoja Roshnai pattern — minute Turkmen güls in close ranks, each closing on a near-black core, packed so densely that the ground survives only as the spaces between them. Deep concentric borders frame the field on all four sides, band after band of small hooked and floral repeats in burgundy, oxblood and dusty rose, closing in a fine chequered guard at the outer edge. Ivory fringe.

Hand-knotted in wool. The gül repeats every 6.4cm across and 4.7cm down, and beneath it the drawing carries a finer grid at exactly half those intervals. The borders take 53.3% of the rug. At 198×290cm this is a large room rug, suited to a living or dining room.

100% wool pile, hand-knotted, finished with an ivory fringe at both ends. Drawing on a 3.2 by 2.2cm module only holds together at a high knot count — the fineness is the defining quality of the Khoja Roshnai design and the reason these rugs are graded above coarser Turkmen weaving from the same part of northern Afghanistan.

About as practical as a rug gets. Under a third of one per cent of the surface is pale enough to count as neutral, and the whole piece sits in one deep burgundy register, so there is essentially nothing here for a mark to spoil. The trade is lint: a ground this dark shows pale fibres and pet hair long before it shows soiling. The dusty rose in the borders is the one light colour and the most exposed, since the borders take more than half the rug.

Slide the field over itself and two repeats show up, one inside the other. The stronger is the gül: 6.43cm across and 4.70cm down, matching at 0.64 and 0.69. But there is a second, weaker match at 3.22cm and 2.23cm — precisely half of each — and it is real rather than an artefact, holding at 0.43 and 0.46. The harmonics continue cleanly past both: 9.65 and 12.62cm across, 9.40 and 11.63cm down.

So the weaver was working to a grid four times finer in area than the emblem being drawn on it. Each gül occupies a two-by-two block of a 3.2 by 2.2cm unit — smaller than a postage stamp — and the drawing between the güls is laid on that same fine grid rather than fitted in by eye afterwards. That is what separates this design from the coarser Turkmen weaving of the same region: not just a smaller emblem, but a smaller module underneath it, held consistently across two metres of field. It is also why the surface reads as continuous texture from a standing height and only breaks into separate güls when you come close.
