A crimson red Jaldar rug with a column of four small stepped diamond güls, each with a serrated outline and a quartered centre, on an open ground. Stepped half-diamonds enter from the long sides between the güls and from the four corners, so the field reads as one continuous net. A series of narrow guard borders of small geometric repeats, and an outer band of diamond medallions, frame the design, with fringe at both ends.

Hand-knotted in Pakistan in wool and silk, with a soft, lustrous pile. At 63×93cm this is an extra small rug, ideal for an entrance, a bedside or a small space.

Jaldar rugs are woven in Pakistan in the Turkmen tradition, close cousins of the Bokhara; the name comes from the net-like lattice that links their compartments. Returns
For a change of mind, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition and in original packaging. Return shipping is paid by the customer and can be expensive from outside Japan, so please ask us about size or colour before you order. If your rug arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, contact us with photos within 30 days of delivery: we pay for the return and send a replacement or a full refund.
