Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

An amber Jaldar rug with a full diamond lattice across the field: two columns of large diamond medallions, each with a layered star-shaped centre, alternate with smaller rosette medallions set where the diamonds meet, linked into a continuous net, the lattice that gives Jaldar its name. Half-medallions cut off at the edges suggest the pattern runs on beyond the rug. A main border of small star rosettes, guard stripes of tiny geometric repeats and end bands of stepped motifs frame the design, with fringe at both ends.

Hand-knotted in Pakistan in wool and silk, with a soft, silky sheen. At 75×132cm this is an extra small rug, ideal for an entrance, a bedside or a small space.

Material: wool and silk pile, hand-knotted in Pakistan. The wool gives the rug body and resilience, while the silk adds a soft, silky sheen and depth of colour that changes as the light moves across it.

Silk is more delicate than wool, so this rug is happiest beside a bed or in a quiet corner rather than a busy entrance, and the pile looks lighter or darker depending on the direction it is brushed.

Jaldar rugs are woven in Pakistan in the Turkmen tradition; the name comes from the net-like lattice that links the compartments across the field. This finely knotted piece shows the full lattice version of the design: two columns of large diamond medallions, each with a layered star-shaped centre, alternate with smaller rosette medallions set where the diamonds meet, so the whole field reads as one continuous net. Half-medallions cut off at the edges make the pattern feel as if it runs on beyond the rug. A main border of small star rosettes, guard stripes of tiny geometric repeats and end bands of stepped motifs frame the whole, and the pile is finished with fringe at both ends. Silk in the pile gives the warm amber ground a soft, silky glow. A rug of this size suits a bedside, a hallway corner or any small space.
