Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A sand Jaldar rug with a lattice of güls across the field: two columns of lobed, cross-shaped güls with small heart motifs at their centres alternate with four-petal cross güls set between them, linked into a continuous net, the lattice that gives Jaldar its name. Half-güls cut off at the edges suggest the pattern runs on beyond the rug. A main border of small star rosettes, guard stripes of tiny flower-heads and end bands of linked X-shaped lozenges frame the design, with fringe at both ends.

Hand-knotted in Pakistan in wool and silk, with a soft, silky sheen. At 76×130cm this is an extra small rug, ideal for an entrance, a bedside or a small space.

Material: wool and silk pile, hand-knotted in Pakistan. The wool gives the rug body and resilience, while the silk adds a soft, silky sheen and depth of colour that changes as the light moves across it.

Silk is more delicate than wool, so this rug is happiest beside a bed or in a quiet corner rather than a busy entrance, and the pile looks lighter or darker depending on the direction it is brushed.

Jaldar rugs are woven in Pakistan in the Turkmen tradition; the name comes from the net-like lattice that links the compartments across the field. This finely knotted piece shows the lattice version of the design: two columns of lobed, cross-shaped güls with small heart motifs at their centres alternate with four-petal cross güls set between them, so the whole field reads as one continuous net. Half-güls cut off at the edges make the pattern feel as if it runs on beyond the rug. A main border of small star rosettes, guard stripes of tiny flower-heads and end bands of linked X-shaped lozenges frame the whole, and the pile is finished with fringe at both ends. Silk in the pile gives the warm sand ground a soft, silky glow. A rug of this size suits a bedside, a hallway corner or any small space.
