Star-flowers, crosses and tribal figures in gold, blue and green scatter across the ground, all framed by an ivory border of güls and eight-pointed stars. Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from fine, hand-spun highland wool, the pile is dense and finely knotted, giving sharp definition to every motif and border.
