Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A warm golden field carries three bold eight-pointed star medallions — worked in black, navy, red and cream — down its length in this hand-knotted Kazak. Crosses, stylised trees, birds and small tribal figures scatter across the ground, framed by a cream-and-gold border of hooked ‘X’ motifs and güls. It has the clear, graphic drawing that makes Kazak rugs instantly recognisable.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from hand-spun highland wool, the pile is thick, lustrous and hard-wearing. The colours are drawn from natural dyes, so the gold glows with abrash and every motif is drawn slightly differently — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made piece.

Material: 100 percent hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

The Kazak is one of the boldest of tribal weaves, descended from the mountain villages of the Caucasus, favouring large, clear medallions on saturated grounds. Here three eight-pointed star medallions in black, navy and red run down a warm golden field, among crosses, little trees and tribal figures, framed by a cream border of hooked motifs. Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from natural-dyed highland wool, every motif is worked by hand — the fingerprint of a one-of-a-kind piece.
