Warm and jewel-like, this rug glows with a rich mustard-gold field, at the heart of which sits a soft sage-green medallion crowned by a single red bloom. Around it, the golden ground is filled with fine scrolling vines, palmettes, and blossoms in green, rust, ivory, and rose — a luminous garden built on warm gold.

The unusual pairing of mustard-gold and soft green is what sets this rug apart. The green medallion and matching green main border cool and balance the warm field, while ivory spandrels and rust-red accents add contrast and depth. It is a sophisticated, slightly unexpected palette on a very classical Tabriz medallion design.

Hand-knotted on a cotton foundation with the tight double knot, the rug shows the high knot density and refined drawing of a fine city-style weave.
