Material: 100 percent wool pile, hand-knotted in Afghanistan. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the pile is made for everyday use in living and dining rooms.

A large plain field like this shows the pile direction clearly, so it can look lighter or darker depending on how it is brushed, and strong sunlight can fade it unevenly.

This design turns the usual rug layout around. Instead of a busy field held in by a formal border, the centre is left almost completely open, and all the detail moves to the edges. There, a loose frame of small shapes runs around the rug: nested squares, some dotted, circles and ovals, pairs of leaves, wavy lines, short dashes and little ladder-like stripes. Nothing is repeated exactly and nothing sits in a strict row, so the border feels hand-drawn and relaxed, almost like a child's sketch or a page of doodles. Orders are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days, then take 7 to 15 business days in transit. Every order ships with tracking. Returns
For a change of mind, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition and in original packaging. Return shipping is paid by the customer and can be expensive from outside Japan, so please ask us about size or colour before you order. If your rug arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, contact us with photos within 30 days of delivery: we pay for the return and send a replacement or a full refund.
