Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A deep wine red field carrying a single column of large Turkmen güls, each quartered into cream, salmon and dark navy around a small teal centre. In every gap between them, at both edges of the field, sits a pennant-shaped minor motif: a broad triangular body pressed against the field edge and drawn out into a thin stem. Wide borders of star-güls and hooked devices in cream, salmon and teal frame the field, and a panelled elem of boxed star-güls closes each end above a broad diagonal-lattice band. Cream fringe at both ends.

Hand-knotted in wool. The small flanking motifs are directional, and they all face the same way — inward, at the central column — which is what holds a single file of güls together down nearly three metres of rug. At 75×299cm this is a runner for a hallway or a landing. A deep red ground is among the most forgiving colours for a corridor, hiding everyday marks far better than a pale rug would.

100% wool pile, hand-knotted, with a natural fringe at both ends. Wool is resilient and forgiving underfoot, which makes this a practical choice for a corridor that gets real use.

A deep red ground is among the most forgiving a rug can have and will hide everyday marks well. The cream is the colour to watch — it is the brightest thing on the rug and the first to grey, and it sits both in the güls running down the centre line and in the small pennants at the field edges, which is precisely where a runner takes its traffic.

A single column of güls has a problem to solve. With nothing to either side, the file can drift and the field around it can read as empty rather than open. Look at how this rug answers that. In every gap between güls, at both edges of the field, sits a small pennant — a broad triangular body pressed against the border with a thin stem drawn out of its point. The stems are the thing to notice. Every one of them points inward, toward the central column, and not one points out.

The field is therefore lined on both sides by a series of small arrows, all aimed at the güls. The effect is to tie the column to the borders and to keep returning the eye to the centre as you move along the rug, which is the only way a runner is ever really seen. It is a small piece of drawing doing structural work, and it takes a second to check: pick any pennant, follow its stem, and it will be pointing at a gül.
