Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A faded all-over floral drifts across a soft sage-green field in this hand-knotted rug, its palmettes, vines and scrolling leaves worked in muted cream, beige and taupe as though softened by time. The overdyed, washed finish gives the traditional Oriental pattern a calm, contemporary haze — gentle grey-green at a distance, with intricate detail surfacing up close.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from a blend of hand-spun wool and lustrous silk (80% wool, 20% silk), the pile is dense and soft, and the silk highlights catch the light so the pattern shifts as you move. Coloured with natural dyes and knotted entirely by hand, the gentle abrash and slight irregularities mark it as a genuine one-of-a-kind piece.

  • Origin: Afghanistan

Material: 80 percent hand-spun Afghan wool and 20 percent silk. The wool is naturally rich in lanolin for softness and easy care, while the silk adds a subtle sheen and depth of colour.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • For silk-blend rugs, use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

Overdyed rugs take a finely knotted, traditional Oriental design and soften it under a single muted colour, so the intricate floral reads as a gentle, faded haze — here a calm sage green. Woven in Afghanistan from a wool-and-silk blend, the silk lifts the cream and beige tracery with a subtle sheen, while natural dyes give the ground its soft, weathered depth. Every flower is knotted by hand, the fingerprint of a one-of-a-kind piece.
