Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A soft ivory field sets off an intricate lobed medallion at the heart of this fine Persian Nain, wreathed in scrolling Shah Abbasi palmettes, arabesques and blossoms in powder-blue, navy and soft brown. The cool, luminous palette and flawless mirrored drawing give it the serene elegance for which Nain is treasured, all framed by an ivory border of flowering vines and a powder-blue guard.

Nain rugs are prized for their exceptional fineness — knotted at very high density from soft, hand-spun wool, which gives crisp definition to every curling leaf and flower. The pale, silvery palette lends a quiet luxury that suits both traditional and contemporary rooms, and lightens any space it sits in. Coloured with natural dyes and worked entirely by hand over many months, it carries the subtle irregularities of a true one-of-a-kind piece — an heirloom to be handed down for generations.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

The rugs of Nain, from the desert-edge city in central Persia, are counted among the finest in the world — famed for their gossamer knotting, their cool palette of ivory and blue, and the flowing ‘Shah Abbasi’ florals that scroll across them. This classic example floats an intricate lobed medallion at the centre of a soft ivory field, wreathed in palmettes, arabesques and blossoms in every shade of blue, with the design mirrored to perfection. Hand-knotted from fine, hand-spun wool and coloured with natural dyes, it is a genuine one-of-a-kind — an heirloom of quiet, timeless elegance.
