Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A rose Jaldar runner with a column of three stepped güls, each with a hooked outline and a small rosette centre, linked by a lattice of angular hook-pattern bands that divides the field into compartments. A wide main border of diamond lozenges, narrow guard stripes of tiny geometric repeats and an outer band of small rosettes frame the design, with fringe at both ends.

Hand-knotted in Pakistan in wool, with a soft, lustrous pile. At 62×172cm this is a short runner, well suited to a hallway, a corridor or the space beside a bed.

Material: 100 percent wool pile, hand-knotted in Pakistan. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the pile is made for everyday use, including busy spots like a hallway.

A deep, rich ground like this hides everyday marks well, but strong colours can fade unevenly in direct sunlight, and the pile looks lighter or darker depending on the direction it is brushed.

Jaldar rugs are woven in Pakistan in the Turkmen tradition, close cousins of the Bokhara; the name comes from the net-like lattice that links their compartments, and on this piece that lattice is the whole idea. A column of three stepped güls, each with a hooked outline and a small rosette centre, is joined by angular bands of hook pattern that divide the field into a chain of compartments, so the eye travels from one gül to the next down the length of the rug. A wide main border of diamond lozenges, narrow guard stripes of tiny geometric repeats and an outer band of small rosettes frame the whole, and the pile is finished with fringe at both ends. The rose ground gives the crisp geometry a soft, lived-in warmth. A short runner like this is made for a hallway, a corridor or the space beside a bed.
