Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A soft turquoise rug with a clean, modern design: a wide plain field is framed by two rows of small squares running around all four sides. The squares alternate between solid blocks and open outlines, set slightly off-line so the border feels hand-placed rather than machine-perfect.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan in wool. The plain field shows gentle natural variation in tone, which gives the large open area a soft, watery movement. At 221×306cm this is a large rug for a living room or dining room.

Material: 100 percent wool pile, hand-knotted in Afghanistan. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the pile is made for everyday use in living and dining rooms.

A large plain field like this shows the pile direction clearly, so it can look lighter or darker depending on how it is brushed, and strong sunlight can fade it unevenly.

This is one of the simplest and most calming layouts a rug can have. The centre is left completely open, and the only pattern is a double frame of small squares running around the edge. In each row, solid squares alternate with open outlined ones in a steady rhythm, and the two rows are offset so the eye moves along them easily. The squares are not ruled perfectly straight: some tilt a little and the spacing shifts slightly, which gives the border a relaxed, hand-drawn quality. With so much open ground, the rug lets furniture, light and the soft movement of the wool take centre stage. It suits a bright, modern living or dining room where a calm, uncluttered floor is wanted.
