Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A sea green rug with a modern, playful design: a wide open field of plain colour is framed by a loose band of small motifs scattered around all four sides. Squares within squares, circles, leaf pairs, wavy lines, short dashes and little stripes are placed freely, like shapes sketched in the margin of a notebook.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan in wool. The plain field shows soft natural variation in tone, which gives the large open area quiet movement. At 190×291cm this is a large rug for a living room or dining room.

Material: 100 percent wool pile, hand-knotted in Afghanistan. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the pile is made for everyday use in living and dining rooms.

A large plain field like this shows the pile direction clearly, so it can look lighter or darker depending on how it is brushed, and strong sunlight can fade it unevenly.

This design turns the usual rug layout around. Instead of a busy field held in by a formal border, the centre is left almost completely open, and all the detail moves to the edges. There, a loose frame of small shapes runs around the rug: nested squares, some dotted, circles and ovals, pairs of leaves, wavy lines, short dashes and little ladder-like stripes. Nothing is repeated exactly and nothing sits in a strict row, so the border feels hand-drawn and relaxed, almost like a child's sketch or a page of doodles. The large plain centre gives furniture plenty of room to sit without fighting the pattern, while the scattered border adds personality around the edges. It suits a modern living or dining room that wants a calm rug with a bit of wit.
