A rose-pink field carrying a single close-packed column of Turkmen güls — around twenty of them, each quartered and filled with hooked devices in navy, cream and apricot, and set so tightly that they nearly touch and read as one continuous chain. Wide navy borders of rosettes and stars flank the field, taking up more of the rug's width than the field itself, with a broad diagonal-lattice end panel and cream fringe at both ends.
Hand-knotted in wool. The rose ground is worth noticing: Turkmen weaving is historically madder red, and a pink of this kind is a modern choice rather than a traditional one — the drawing is entirely orthodox, the colour is not. At 76×306cm this is a runner for a hallway or a landing, and the narrow field between wide borders makes the rug read as an emphatic line down a corridor.
