A rose red field carrying three hooked diamond güls in a single column, each drawn in ivory, gold, navy and black with a small cross at its heart and an outline fringed with hooks. Nested chevrons in navy, ivory and gold reach in from both sides of the field, pointing into the gaps between the güls. Multi-band borders of alternating blue and coral lozenges, fine diaper and a zigzag band at each end run on all four sides, closed by a plain rose outer band and ivory fringe.

Hand-knotted in wool. The side chevrons sit exactly level with the spaces between the güls, not with the güls themselves, so each gül is framed by a V above and a V below. At 80×121cm this is an extra small rug — a hallway, doorway or bedside piece.

100% wool pile, hand-knotted in Pakistan, with ivory fringe at both ends. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the dense pile of a Jaldar is made for everyday floor use.

Rose red is a mid-tone — it hides everyday marks better than a pale field, but it shows fading from strong sunlight sooner than the dark navy borders around it. The plain rose band at the very edge will show pile shading and wear first at a doorway.

Count the güls: there are three. That small choice changes how the whole rug reads. With an even number, like four or six, the centre of the field falls in the gap between two motifs, and the eye has nowhere to rest. With three, the middle gül sits exactly at the centre of the rug, and the other two balance it above and below, so the design has a heart. The weaver has reinforced that with the side ornaments. The nested chevrons reaching in from the edges line up with the spaces between the güls rather than with the güls themselves, so every gül is held between a chevron pointing down from above and one pointing up from below. The middle gül gets the same treatment as the outer two, but because it sits at the centre, it is the one the whole field seems to be gathered around.
