A red Jaldar rug with a column of three octagonal compartments, each holding a stepped diamond gül built from small squares around a diamond centre. Patterned bands link the compartments and stepped half-compartments press in from both long sides, forming the net that gives Jaldar its name. A main border of small diamond tiles, guard stripes of tiny geometric repeats and end bands of small flowers frame the design, with fringe at both ends.

Material: 100 percent wool pile, hand-knotted in Pakistan. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the pile is made for everyday use, including busy spots like an entrance.

A deep, rich ground like this hides everyday marks well, but strong colours can fade unevenly in direct sunlight, and the pile looks lighter or darker depending on the direction it is brushed.

Jaldar rugs are woven in Pakistan in the Turkmen tradition, close cousins of the Bokhara but drawn around diamonds rather than oval güls; the name comes from the net-like lattice that links the compartments. This small piece carries a column of three octagonal compartments, each holding a stepped diamond gül built from small squares around a diamond centre. Patterned bands link the compartments and stepped half-compartments press in from both long sides, so the field reads as one continuous net. Returns
For a change of mind, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition and in original packaging. Return shipping is paid by the customer and can be expensive from outside Japan, so please ask us about size or colour before you order. If your rug arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, contact us with photos within 30 days of delivery: we pay for the return and send a replacement or a full refund.
