A greyed olive field carrying a single column of small Turkmen güls, each quartered diagonally into ivory and apricot with a red hooked device in every quarter and a fine dark outline drawing the octagon. Small hooked motifs flank them at both field edges. Wide multi-band borders of star-güls, crosses and dogtooth in salmon, red, cream and near-black frame the field down both sides, and both ends close with a bold zigzag panel. Cream fringe at both ends.
Hand-knotted in wool. The güls here are quartered light against light rather than light against dark, which is the reverse of the usual Turkmen convention and gives the field its quietness. At 78×230cm this is a short runner, suited to a small hall, a galley kitchen or the foot of a bed. A mid-toned olive ground hides everyday marks better than a pale rug, though the ivory in the güls will show wear before the field does.
