Rug material

Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

Soft denim blue and pale silver-grey alternate in a clean checkerboard, each square brushed with fine diagonal stripes of cream. The shifting direction of the lines makes the surface feel almost woven in light, a calm, contemporary play of blue, grey and white that brings a cool, coastal freshness to the room.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from hand-spun highland wool, the rug pairs tribal craft with a crisp, modern geometry. Naturally dyed and tied knot by knot, its gentle tonal shifts are the signature of a single weaver and a true one-of-a-kind, a fresh, versatile foundation made to last a lifetime.

  • Material: 100% hand-spun highland wool, hand-knotted
  • Vacuum regularly without a beater bar, and rotate the rug periodically for even wear
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth; never rub
  • Professional rug cleaning recommended; avoid harsh chemicals and machine washing
  • Use a rug pad to prevent slipping and reduce wear
  • Light shedding is natural for hand-knotted wool and eases with time

This Gabbeh trades tribal motifs for clean modern geometry: a grid of blue and grey squares, each filled with fine diagonal striping that flips direction square to square. The result is a quietly dynamic surface that feels Scandinavian and coastal at once.

The cool blue-and-grey palette makes it especially easy to place, fresh in a bedroom, calming in a living room, at home by the sea or in the city. As a hand-knotted one-of-a-kind, no other rug shares its exact grid and shading.
