Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

Deep espresso-brown baroque damask spreads across a vibrant amber gold ground — a striking meeting of European ornament and Afghan hand-knotting in a single textile. The high contrast gives it immediate, jewel-like presence.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from hand-spun wool, it brings a sense of grandeur to dining rooms, libraries, and reception spaces. Formal yet warm, it is the work of a single weaver and entirely one of a kind.

Material: 100 percent hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

The design unites two traditions: a European baroque damask, drawn in deep espresso brown, laid across a vibrant amber gold ground by Afghan hand-knotting. The high contrast gives the rug immediate presence and a formal, jewel-like richness that rewards both close attention and a view across the room. Gold has long been an auspicious colour, a symbol of warmth and prosperity. Small variations in colour and weave are the mark of genuine hand-knotting, the trace of a single weaver and a one-of-a-kind piece.
