Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A burnt orange rug built around three large diamonds stacked down its centre. Around them, broad corner bands turn inward into hooked scrolls, framed squares sit at the sides, and small stylised figures pair up between the diamonds. Every shape is large, flat and cleanly outlined, giving the rug a strong graphic presence.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan in wool. Natural streaks of tone run through each colour area, so the big flat shapes look rich rather than plain. There is no traditional border, and the design runs right to the edges. At 212×278cm this is a large rug for a living room or dining room.

Material: 100 percent wool pile, hand-knotted in Afghanistan. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the pile is made for everyday use in living and dining rooms.

Strong colours like these can fade unevenly in direct sunlight, and the pile looks lighter or darker depending on the direction it is brushed.

Three large diamonds are the backbone of this design, set one above another down the length of the rug, with the last a little larger than the others. Everything else is arranged around them in mirror image. Broad bands wrap each corner and curl inward into hooked, key-like scrolls; squares with an octagon cut from their centre sit halfway along each side; and small stylised figures, which can be read as birds, face one another in pairs beside the diamonds. The scale is generous and the drawing is simple, which gives the rug a graphic, almost architectural feel. Up close, the hand-dyed wool shows soft streaks of tone that bring movement to the flat shapes. It suits a modern living or dining room that wants one bold, confident piece on the floor.
