Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A bright red field frames a central ivory octagon medallion — its heart worked with a navy cartouche and hooked stars — with four navy corner güls anchoring the corners, in this hand-knotted Kazak. Star-flowers, crosses and tribal figures in gold, blue and green scatter across the ground, all framed by an ivory border of güls and eight-pointed stars. Its near-square format suits a hallway, entry or a smaller room.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from fine, hand-spun highland wool, the pile is dense and finely knotted, giving sharp definition to every motif and border. Coloured with natural dyes and worked entirely by hand, the tones glow with gentle abrash and every figure is drawn a little differently — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made piece.

Material: 100 percent hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

Afghan Kazak rugs revive the bold, crisp geometry of the old Caucasian Kazak weavings. Here a bright red field frames a central ivory octagon medallion and four navy corner güls, scattered with star-flowers and tribal motifs in gold, blue and green, inside an ivory border of güls and stars. Finely knotted in Afghanistan from natural-dyed highland wool, every motif is worked by hand — the fingerprint of a one-of-a-kind piece.
