A warm cream field is filled with an all-over array of large serrated sunburst medallions in green and red, interspersed with deep-navy güls and small cruciform star-flowers, in this finely knotted Afghani Sherwan. A broad red border of palmettes and rosettes, flanked by navy guard stripes of stars and crosses, frames the glowing centre. It has the generous, colourful drawing of a classic Caucasian village weave.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from fine, hand-spun highland wool, the pile is dense and finely knotted, giving sharp definition to every motif and border. Coloured with natural dyes and worked entirely by hand, the tones glow with gentle abrash and every figure is drawn a little differently — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made piece.

Orders are dispatched within 3 to 5 business days, then take 7 to 15 business days in transit. Every order ships with tracking. Returns
For a change of mind, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition and in original packaging. Return shipping is paid by the customer and can be expensive from outside Japan, so please ask us about size or colour before you order. If your rug arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, contact us with photos within 30 days of delivery: we pay for the return and send a replacement or a full refund.
