Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A soft ivory field sets off three bold navy-and-red diamond medallions down the centre, their stepped outlines and ‘Lesghi star’ centres worked in red, blue and green, in this hand-knotted Kazak. Small güls and cross-flowers fill the ground, all framed by a red border of güls and star-flowers with cream guard stripes. The pale ground gives it a bright, graphic clarity.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from fine, hand-spun highland wool, the pile is dense and finely knotted, giving sharp definition to every motif and border. Coloured with natural dyes and worked entirely by hand, the tones glow with gentle abrash and every figure is drawn a little differently — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made piece.

Material: 100 percent hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

Afghan Kazak rugs revive the bold, crisp geometry of the old Caucasian Kazak weavings. Here three navy-and-red diamond medallions run down a soft ivory field, their stepped outlines and star centres worked in red, blue and green, framed by a red border of güls and star-flowers. Finely knotted in Afghanistan from natural-dyed highland wool, every motif is worked by hand — the fingerprint of a one-of-a-kind piece.
