A lime green rug with a wide plain border around a central panel. The panel is filled with rows of stepped diamonds, each built from small checkerboard squares in a slightly darker shade of the same green, with tiny dots marking the points where the diamonds meet. The border is left completely plain, with a soft streaked texture running across the pile.

Material: 100 percent wool pile, hand-knotted in Afghanistan. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the pile is made for everyday use in living and dining rooms.

A bright, light ground with a wide plain border shows marks, traffic paths and pile shading more readily than a darker or fully patterned rug. Turning it from time to time helps it wear evenly.

This rug is laid out in two zones of the same lime green. Around the outside runs a wide plain border with a soft streaked texture; inside it sits a rectangular panel filled with rows of stepped diamonds. Look closely at a diamond and you will see it is not solid but built from small checkerboard squares, a shade darker than the ground, so each one looks slightly pixelated. Tiny dots mark the points where the diamonds touch. Because there is only one colour, the pattern appears as a change of tone rather than a contrast, and it comes and goes as the light moves across the pile. From across the room the rug reads as a bright, fresh block of colour; up close, the checkerboard diamonds and the hand-knotted texture appear. It suits a modern living or dining room.

Returns
For a change of mind, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition and in original packaging. Return shipping is paid by the customer and can be expensive from outside Japan, so please ask us about size or colour before you order. If your rug arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, contact us with photos within 30 days of delivery: we pay for the return and send a replacement or a full refund.
