Rug material

Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A deep olive-green field is framed by a striking border of small squares, alternating darker and lighter green blocks that march around a darker inset frame. The plain centre and geometric square border give the rug a calm, architectural balance — bold in colour yet quiet in pattern, glowing chartreuse in bright light and deepening to moss in shade.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from hand-spun Ghazni highland wool that is naturally rich in lanolin, the pile is dense, soft underfoot and hard-wearing. The green is built from natural dye, so the field carries gentle abrash and every little square is placed by hand — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made rug.

Material: 100 percent hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

This Gabbeh pairs a plain olive-green field with a bold border of small squares — a simple, graphic frame that feels at once tribal and modern. The blocks alternate in tone around a darker inset band, giving the calm centre just enough structure. Woven in Afghanistan from hand-spun highland wool and coloured with natural dye, the green drifts gently in abrash and every square is placed by hand — the honest fingerprint of a one-of-a-kind piece.
