Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

An olive Jaldar rug with a column of three stepped diamond medallions, each built from nested hooked outlines around a small cross-shaped centre, and each set inside its own octagonal cartouche. Stepped half-diamonds fill the spaces between the cartouches at the field edges, so the field reads as one continuous net. A wide main border of small rosettes, flanked by narrow guard stripes of tiny geometric repeats and an outer band of hooked motifs, frames the design, with fringe at both ends.

Hand-knotted in Pakistan in wool, with a soft, lustrous pile. At 64×94cm this is an extra small rug, ideal for an entrance, a bedside or a small space.

Material: 100 percent wool pile, hand-knotted in Pakistan. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the pile is made for everyday use, including busy spots like an entrance.

A light ground like this shows dark marks more than a deep ground would, and the pile looks lighter or darker depending on the direction it is brushed.

Jaldar rugs are woven in Pakistan in the Turkmen tradition, close cousins of the Bokhara but drawn around diamonds rather than oval güls; the name comes from the net-like lattice that links the compartments. This small piece carries a column of three stepped diamond medallions, each built from nested hooked outlines around a small cross-shaped centre, and each set inside its own octagonal cartouche. Stepped half-diamonds fill the spaces between the cartouches at the field edges, so the field reads as one continuous net. A wide main border of small rosettes, flanked by narrow guard stripes of tiny geometric repeats and an outer band of hooked motifs, frames the whole, and the pile is finished with fringe at both ends. The olive ground is an unusual, fresh choice for a Jaldar and gives the crisp geometry a soft, springlike lightness. A rug of this size is made for an entrance, a bedside or any small space that wants a touch of pattern underfoot.
