Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A warm cream field carries neat rows of quartered octagonal güls — worked in rust, red and black — in this hand-knotted Pakistani Bokhara, in the classic manner of the Turkmen weavers. Slender tribal ‘candlestick’ motifs separate the columns, and a rust border of güls and stylised flowers, flanked by ivory guard stripes, frames the field.

Hand-knotted in Pakistan from fine wool, the pile is dense and finely knotted, giving sharp definition to every gül and border. Worked entirely by hand, the tones carry a gentle abrash and every motif is drawn a little differently — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made piece.

Material: 100 percent wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

Pakistani Bokhara rugs are hand-knotted in Pakistan, drawing on the great Turkmen gül tradition of Central Asia. This rug follows the classic Turkmen gül design — neat rows of quartered octagonal güls in rust and red marching across a warm cream field, framed by a rust border of güls and stylised flowers. The light ground makes the güls stand out clearly, and because every one is knotted by hand, each is drawn a little differently — the fingerprint of a one-of-a-kind piece.
