A deep wine red field carrying a single column of large Turkmen güls, each quartered into cream, salmon and near-black with a dark centre, and flanked by small hooked pendants at the field edges. A fine dark line runs the whole length of the field down its exact centre, passing through the middle of every gül. Very wide multi-band borders of diamond meander, hooked devices and small repeats in cream, teal, salmon and black frame the field, and a bold diagonal-lattice panel closes the end. Cream fringe at both ends.
Hand-knotted in wool. The centre line is woven rather than a crease — a single row of near-black knots running unbroken from one end of the field to the other. At 109×195cm this is a small room rug, suited to a bedside, a study or an entrance. A deep red ground is among the most forgiving colours a rug can have, though the cream in the güls will show wear first.
