A magenta field carrying two columns of large octagonal güls in teal, steel blue and cream, each with an ivory centre holding a small rosette. Between and around them runs a dense secondary system of cruciform devices, hooked scrolls and small dark rosettes in the same palette, so that the magenta shows mainly as narrow channels. Multi-band borders of diamond meander and hooked forms in teal, salmon and cream frame the field, closing at each end with a scrolled band. Cream fringe at both ends.
Hand-knotted in wool with silk, at a fine gauge. Everything in the field is built from right angles and stepped outlines except for one element, which is also the smallest. At 79×217cm this is a short runner, suited to a small hall or the foot of a bed. A strong magenta ground is reasonably forgiving of everyday marks, though the ivory in the gül centres will show wear first.
