A cream beige rug with a modern layout: the centre is left completely plain, and all the pattern is gathered into a wide border around it. The main border alternates square tiles holding stepped diamonds with rounded, hooked medallions, framed on both sides by narrow bands of small flowers and a slim outer stripe.

Material: 100 percent wool pile, hand-knotted in Pakistan. Wool is naturally resilient and hard-wearing, and the pile is made for everyday use, including busy spots like an entrance.

A light, plain ground like this shows dark marks more than a patterned one would, and the pile looks lighter or darker depending on the direction it is brushed.

This rug takes a simple, modern approach: the whole centre is left as a calm, open field with no motifs at all, and the pattern is gathered into a wide frame around it. The main border alternates two kinds of tile, square panels holding small stepped diamonds and rounded medallions with hooked edges, drawn in the bold, geometric style of village weaving. Narrow bands of little flowers and leaf shapes run along both sides of the main border, and a slim outer stripe of tiny diamonds finishes the edge. Returns
For a change of mind, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition and in original packaging. Return shipping is paid by the customer and can be expensive from outside Japan, so please ask us about size or colour before you order. If your rug arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, contact us with photos within 30 days of delivery: we pay for the return and send a replacement or a full refund.
