Rug material

Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A vivid crimson ground is crossed by a quiet rhythm of black dotted lines — bold colour held in check by the simplest of patterns. The result is a rug with enormous presence that never feels heavy.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from dense hand-spun wool, its colour is deep and saturated, its meaning old: red has long stood for vitality and good fortune. A piece with the power to set the character of a whole room, and entirely one of a kind.

Material: 100 percent hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

The design pairs bold colour with restraint: a vivid crimson red ground crossed by quiet black dotted lines in a minimalist, almost meditative rhythm. The simplicity is what gives it power, letting the red carry the room without feeling aggressive. Red has long stood for vitality, warmth, and good fortune across many cultures. Small variations in colour and weave are the mark of genuine hand-knotting, the trace of a single weaver and a one-of-a-kind piece.
