Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

An antique cream field covered with an all-over floral lattice: rows of pointed ogee frames, outlined in fine scrolling vines, each holding a stylised flower spray, with leafy stems, small blossoms and buds filling the spaces between them. The pattern runs to every edge with no border, finished with a short fringe.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan in wool with silk. The flowers and vines are drawn in soft tones close to the cream ground, so from a distance the rug reads as one light, calm surface, and the lattice and flowers only appear as you come closer. At 199×294cm this is a large rug for a living room or dining room.

Material: wool with silk. Hand-knotted in Afghanistan, with silk adding a soft sheen to the pile. The wool gives the rug body and resilience for everyday use in living and dining rooms.

A light cream ground shows marks and traffic paths more readily than a darker rug, and silk is more delicate than wool, so it suits rooms where shoes come off. Turning it from time to time helps it wear evenly.

This rug is built on a lattice of pointed ogee frames, each one outlined by a thin, scrolling vine that curls at its tips. Inside every frame sits a stylised flower spray, and the spaces between the frames are filled with leafy stems, small blossoms and buds, so the whole field reads as one continuous garden rather than separate motifs. There is no centre medallion and no border: the lattice simply repeats and runs off all four edges. Because the vines and flowers are drawn in soft tones close to the antique cream ground, the pattern is quiet from across the room and only reveals itself as you come closer. That gentle, light surface makes it an easy rug for a bright living or dining room.
