Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

This hand-knotted Ghazni is built like a sampler — a patchwork grid of small squares, each one filled with a different tribal motif: diamonds, combs, zigzags, lattices, little flowers and dotted fields. Worked entirely in soft earth tones of camel, tan, cream and walnut-brown, it carries all the variety of a collector’s reference piece while staying calm and easy to live with.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from hand-spun wool rich in lanolin, the pile is dense and soft underfoot and naturally resistant to everyday wear. Every block is drawn freehand and coloured with natural dyes, so no two squares are quite alike — the mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made rug.

Material: 100 percent hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

This is a patchwork or sampler Gabbeh, where the field is divided into a grid of small squares and each one is given its own tribal motif — diamonds, combs, hooks, lattices, dotted grounds and tiny flowers. The whole piece is held together by a quiet earth-tone palette of camel, tan, cream and walnut. Knotted by hand in Afghanistan from hand-spun, naturally dyed wool, every square is drawn freehand, so the motifs and their colours shift from block to block — the unmistakable fingerprint of a single weaver rather than a machine.
