Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

Large sage-blue damask blooms rise in stately rows across a soft ivory-gold field in this hand-knotted rug. The cool blue-green motifs against the warm cream ground give it an elegant, almost European feel, while the open spacing keeps the whole piece light and uncluttered. There is no border — the damask simply stands on the clean field.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from wool rich in lanolin, the pile is dense and soft underfoot and naturally resistant to everyday wear. The ivory and sage ground shifts gently across the field and each motif is drawn a little differently — the mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made rug.

Material: 100 percent hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

This rug sets a formal damask in a soft, tribal key. Big paired palmettes and leafy crowns climb the ivory-gold field in vertical rows, worked in cool sage-blue so they read clearly against the warm ground. Knotted by hand in Afghanistan from hand-spun, naturally dyed wool, the motifs are drawn freehand — no two are identical — and the cream field carries the faint abrash that only natural dye and a single weaver can give.
