Rug material

Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

Blocks of finely striated wool fit together like parquet, each panel running its stripes in a different direction across the field. Worked in warm cinnamon, russet and wheat, the close linear texture catches the light differently from block to block, giving the whole rug a quiet, woven movement.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from hand-spun highland wool, the rug turns simple stripes into a rich, architectural patchwork. Naturally dyed and tied knot by knot, its shifting warm tones are the signature of a single weaver and a true one-of-a-kind, a textural, grounding foundation made to last a lifetime.

  • Material: 100% hand-spun highland wool, hand-knotted
  • Vacuum regularly without a beater bar, and rotate the rug periodically for even wear
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth; never rub
  • Professional rug cleaning recommended; avoid harsh chemicals and machine washing
  • Use a rug pad to prevent slipping and reduce wear
  • Light shedding is natural for hand-knotted wool and eases with time

This Gabbeh is built from blocks of fine stripes, each square turned a different way to create a parquet or basket-weave rhythm. It is a modern, textural take on the tradition, all about the play of line and warm, earthy colour rather than figurative motifs.

The spice-toned palette makes it deeply warm and easy to live with, a natural partner for wood, leather and linen. As a hand-knotted one-of-a-kind, no other rug shares its exact panels and shading.
