A warm gold field carrying a dense grid of octagonal Turkmen güls, each quartered by a cross and filled with coral, cream and sage devices, with small stepped stars in dark brown standing at every intersection between them. Wide multi-band borders of star-güls, diamond diaper and hooked repeats in brown, coral and cream frame the field, closing at each end with a bold panel. Cream fringe at both ends.
Hand-knotted in wool. The field carries two motifs and they do not share a palette: all the coral on the rug sits inside the güls, and the small stars between them are drawn strictly in brown and cream. At 151×252cm this is a medium room rug, suited to a living room, a bedroom or under a smaller dining table.
