A crimson field carrying four large eight-lobed rosette medallions in warm taupe, grey-blue and cream, each with a red centre holding a small cream flower. Stepped bands cross the field between them, meeting at the edges to divide it into compartments. Wide multi-band borders of star-güls, diamond diaper and hooked repeats in taupe, black, cream and orange frame the field, and both ends close with a bold zigzag panel. Cream fringe at both ends.
Hand-knotted in wool. The light colour that carries the drawing is a warm taupe rather than the ivory this weave usually uses, which halves the brightness step between drawing and ground and gives the rug its softened, settled look. At 61×119cm this is a small mat, suited to a bedside, an entrance or a wall hanging.
