Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A deep ruby-red field is worked all over with small stepped diamond güls in cream, camel and soft blue, each finely outlined and set in ordered rows. The rich red ground and delicate lattice give this Jaldar a warm, glowing depth, lifted by the quiet sheen of its wool-and-silk pile.

A broad camel border carries rows of latch-hook diamonds and hooked motifs, bracketed by many narrow guard stripes in red, cream and indigo that frame the field on all four sides. Measured across the width, those borders take slightly more than half the rug, and the field they enclose is about four-fifths open red — so the densely worked camel frame carries more of the drawing than everything inside it. Hand-knotted in Pakistan from a blend of 80% fine highland wool and 20% lustrous silk, the pile is dense and closely clipped, catching the light so the medallions shift between matte and shine as you move around the rug. Worked entirely by hand with warm, natural-looking dyes, the red ground carries a gentle abrash and each motif is drawn a little differently — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind piece.

Material: 80 percent hand-spun highland wool and 20 percent silk. The wool gives softness, durability and a natural resistance to everyday dirt, while the silk adds a luminous sheen and highlights the finer details of the design.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum gently on low suction without a rotating brush; take extra care over the silk highlights.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour and sheen.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner experienced with wool and silk for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new pile and settles within the first few months.

Jaldar rugs are the Pakistani reading of the Turkmen tradition, trading bold güls for a finer all-over lattice of small stepped diamonds. Woven here in wool and silk on a deep ruby-red ground, the silk content lets the cream and camel medallions catch the light against the rich field. Hand-knotted in Pakistan from natural-dyed fibres, every diamond is worked by hand — the fingerprint of a one-of-a-kind piece.
