Only one available — one-of-a-kind.

A deep red field is filled edge to edge with a lattice of small star-güls — a shimmer of teal, gold, cream and navy — in this finely knotted Afghani Sherwan. Every motif is drawn a little differently, giving the field a lively, jewel-box quality, all framed by an ivory border of güls and star medallions with a teal diagonal-stripe outer guard. It has the crisp, repeating geometry of a classic Caucasian Shirvan weave.

Hand-knotted in Afghanistan from fine, hand-spun highland wool, the pile is dense and finely knotted, giving sharp definition to every motif and border. Coloured with natural dyes and worked entirely by hand, the tones glow with gentle abrash and every figure is drawn a little differently — the honest mark of a genuine one-of-a-kind, hand-made piece.

Material: 100 percent hand-spun Afghan wool, naturally rich in lanolin, which gives it softness, a subtle sheen, and a natural resistance to everyday dirt and spills.

Care instructions

  • Vacuum regularly on low suction without a rotating brush.
  • Rotate the rug occasionally so it wears and fades evenly.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth, working from the outside in, and do not rub.
  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the colour.
  • Use a professional rug cleaner for any deep clean.
  • Light shedding is normal with new wool and settles within the first few months.

Afghani Sherwan rugs revive the crisp geometry of the old Caucasus — Shirvan, Kuba and Kazak weavings. Here a deep red field is filled edge to edge with a lattice of small star-güls in teal, gold, cream and navy, framed by an ivory border of güls and a teal diagonal-stripe guard. Finely knotted in Afghanistan from natural-dyed highland wool, every motif is worked by hand — the fingerprint of a one-of-a-kind piece.
